This year we are making seed bombs, to take away, and spread some plant love !
We have a fun, creative programme of drop-in events running throughout the season. All these events are included in your entry price.
We also have outdoor theatre performances in our Walled Garden as well as our adult craft workshops and yoga. There is a charge for these and you need to book in advance.

Seven Weeks of Dreaming and Creating…. A Miniature Summer to Spark Mighty Imaginations.
For the second week of summer we are making fairies and elves. Perfect to add to your miniature garden.
Love, relationships and mistaken identity. Twelfth Night is Shakespeare’s bittersweet romantic comedy where no-one is quite who they seem.
This week we are using clay, found natural bits and bobs, and our imaginations, to craft a cosy little woodland home.
So this week we are going to see what we can create from corks! I We thought, maybe, toadstools, to go with your miniature garden, but you probably have even better ideas!
Let’s try something different - We reckon that some cardboard tubes, lolly sticks, wool and beads can create a very cool puppet. Excited to see what you come up with!
Using fabric scraps, buttons and bits and bobs we are making colourful and creative flowers this week in the tipi. All welcome!

It is the last week of the hols and we couldn’t have a whole Himalayan summer without including this guy!
Make your own shadow puppet with paper fasteners and sticks and then lets put on a show!
Symbolising oneness and said to protect the sleeper from bad dreams, enjoy using bamboo and wool to create one unique to you.
Mandala means ‘circle’ in the ancient Sanskrit language and is used to help create balance and harmony. It is also a meditative and relaxing process, so take your time.
Jinzo, or clay sculpture, is one of the oldest crafts in Bhutan and has been practiced and passed down over the centuries. Design and make your own magical creature to watch over you.
This summer lets have an exotic staycation as we turn to the Himalayas for inspiration for our craft activities.

Present Laughter is a razor sharp and highly comic exploration of the ups and downs of fame brought up to date for the Instagram age.

We will be learning to make little plant pots out of recycled newspaper and then planting a seed inside for you to take home and nurture.

The finale to our 7 weeks of Summer Fun…and we are finishing with a firm favourite. Help us find our forgetful dog, Troy, and all his scattered possessions.
Week 6 and we are making miniature spell books, with cute little twig spines, perfect for recording potions & secrets.
This week we are blending up some magical potions, using a dash of imagination and a fair bit of goblin wee and unicorn tears!
