Slapstick Picnic would like to cordially invite you to its inaugural summer tea party, where marvellous feats of performance and culinary capers await. Over tea and cucumber sandwiches, we ask that you prepare to witness the impossible - the entirety of Oscar Wilde’s classic play of manners, affairs and handbags being performed by just two rather dashing entertainers.

Our gorgeous Walled Garden, with its amphitheater style terraces, is the perfect setting for some theatre under the stars. Usually the terraces are roped off to visitors, but on theatre nights you get to enjoy the wonderful views as you picnic in style with friends and family before settling down under a cosy rug to enjoy first class theatre. The perfect combination!

We open the Walled Garden at 4:00pm for you to choose a spot and enjoy your picnic. We recommend that you bring a rug to sit on, and chairs are also permitted.  We also suggest bringing warm layers and a rug as the evening draws in. You are most welcome to bring picnics and alcohol.

We are delighted to announce that COCKTAIL SOCIAL will be in attendance, mixing their signature delicious cocktails as well as fresh smoothies, hot drinks, ice creams and a classy selection of wines, beers and bubbles. Adding a sense of occasion and glamour to a really special evening.
