We offer the perfect setting for your quintessential English country wedding. Our historic gardens date back to the 1800s and provide the most amazing views across the Weald of Kent, as well as over 12 acres of gardens for your guests to enjoy.
Our gorgeous gardens provide the perfect backdrop for you to personalise and make the day truly your own. We love seeing the unique spin that each couple puts on our wonderful venue. With gorgeous photo opportunities around every corner, from the manicured perfection of the Walled Garden to the wild charm of the jungle and the dappled light of our Rock Garden, Riverhill truly is a very special place to celebrate with loved ones.

A personalised wedding
At Riverhill we offer you the ground hire of our gardens, so you get the perfect backdrop for your day with the freedom to build and create a very personal and unique set up. Every couple we have here puts their own stamp on Riverhill and we love to see what people do. Last year we had a village fete and a mini golf course!

The Ceremony
Have your ceremony from 2:30 in our gorgeous Walled Garden. You will say your vows under the vaulted roof of our Himalayan Hut, made from Kentish hop poles with climbing roses or vines (depending on the month). Whilst looking out over the Weald of Kent. The ceremony space is intimate and peaceful, you will be surrounded by your friends and family as you make your vows.
Afterwards enjoy drinks and canapes on the terraced lawn as you start your celebrations with your loved ones, before moving down to the marquee lawn to continue the party!
We are licenced for 120 people for the ceremony. We will also always make sure that our Garden Room is available as a bad weather contingency plan.
Reception only
On arrival (from 3:00pm) enjoy drinks on the terraces of our beautiful Walled Garden, before heading to The Old Tennis Court Lawn, where your marquee is sited. With far reaching views & perfect lawn it is large enough to fit a marquee for up to 250 guests on it.
We only offer eight receptions each year at Riverhill to ensure that it remains something of a hidden gem & retains that bespoke, personal feeling that is so important to us.
