The Arts at Riverhill
The Arts have always had a place at Riverhill; from the original garden designs and plant sketches commissioned and created by the Rogers family in the 1840s, to the warm welcome extended to sculptors, artists, writers and actors today.
We are delighted to continue exhibiting world-class British sculpture. The works, by some of the country's leading artists, offer an inspiring blend of natural materials, contemporary forms set against the varied natural backdrops, which are in abundance at Riverhill. The sculpture can be viewed in the gardens throughout the season, with new pieces being regularly added. Other than ‘Incomplete System’ which can be found in the middle of the fountains in The Walled Garden, all pieces are available for sale.
For more information on the ForumArts National Sculpture Symposium held at Riverhill in 2016, please see forumarts.org.uk.
In 2019 we will be delighted to welcome back The Handlebards, The Changeling Theatre Company and Tonbridge School, all of whom will be performing plays in our Walled Garden during July (more details can be found in the What’s On section). During the year we also welcome The Sevenoaks Art Club, The Stag Youth Theatre and more.
We welcome you too, to visit, to be inspired, to enjoy the art on display at Riverhill and to create your own.
